This is a baronial service award that was given to a member of the scribal household that I belong to (a fellow "Petals"), so it was a real joy doing this piece. It is based off of a 15th century acanthus leaf border, and the calligraphy is modified gothic textura quadrata. This scroll was completed in June, 2003.
