This was my first kingdom scroll and my first attempt at gold leaf (the "M" is gilded). Notice the lack of white work in the leaf pattern. Yep, I was still learning and my white working ability was lacking at this point. Calligraphy is gothic textura quadrata. This scroll was completed in September, 2001.
