This kingdom scroll was based off of a 14th century woodcut. The layout and forced perspective is completely lifted from the woodcut. The only major modification that I made to this was the figure of the woman. The woodcut actually featured a monk. The background and borders were based off of various examples of 14th century illumination. Calligraphy is modified gothic textura quadrata. This scroll was completed on July 27, 2002.
