OK, I'm trying to paint smaller. A good friend of mine very generously gave me a set of very fine, tiny brushes. I was singing her praises the whole time I was doing this scroll. This is a baronial scroll for the Order of the Grey Goose and is based off of a French 15th century manuscript based on "The Tale of the Panther of Love". The gold leaf was applied using gesso buttons (my second attempt) and turned out quite nice (thanks, Akiko!). Calligraphy is modified gothic textura quadrata. I completed this scroll on Sept. 21, 2005.
